I’ve tried quitting weed so many times. It took me such a long time to quit nicotine. This is what I learned. 1 through 4 days: its all you think about and physically taxing. 5 days - 2 weeks: pops up as obsession 2 weeks to 2 months: pops up way more chill but whispers that because it’s chill you can handle it this time 3 months: you can shut it down before it has a say as long as you don’t let it talk. Here’s the 1 month hack: drink water a lot, go to the gym before the cravings start then keep busy with something do not let yourself sit and your mind wander. If you do this the first month is 100000x easier. Not “easy” but seriously easier than it would be. I hope this helps someone. It took me 15 years to realize that as long as you hydrate and sweat you’ll be more capable. Working out is a drug once you’re used to it. Reroute your addiction to something healthy instead of denying yourself pleasure, because that doesn’t last.
