One week sober from weed and nicotine, two weeks sober from alcohol! I’ve been treating this like recovery from surgery, painful but necessary. I invited a friend over to give her my leftover stash and she smoked in front of me and I didn’t feel any craving. Normally I would have been jealous of her for getting to smoke, but this time I figured SHE would be the jealous one because I was able to quit so confidently! Major mindset shift. Now my friends have started coming to me for advice about quitting and I feel so proud of myself. I’ve tried to quit so often but this feels different. One day I did woke up and was just done with all of it. After quitting I started getting insane anxiety and constipation but both are sorting themselves out. Had been smoking 1-2g a day for about 6-7 years. I recommend humming btw for the anxiety, it’s so relaxing that it almost feels like I’m high. The vibration stimulates the vagus nerve which is what causes my food/digestion anxiety spikes. Deep breath in and hum slowly for a few breaths.
