Just had a really interesting conversation with my daughter today. She's 14, and she was talking about some drama with her friends and how she felt like she couldn't tell them certain things because they wouldn't understand. And it just really struck me how much our recovery journey impacts our family, especially our kids. It made me think about all the times I wasn't present, or when I made promises I couldn't keep. And how much work it's taken to rebuild that trust with her. It's not perfect, but hearing her talk so openly with me today felt like a HUGE win. It’s amazing what happens when we show up authentically, even when it's messy. So proud of the relationship we're building now.
